What does Tanner and Tyler Mata, actors Ronnie Alonte, Loisa Andalio, Sofia Andres, and models Maria Fabiana and Emilio Francisco Perez all have in common?
They’re the members of the newest youth group created by Penshoppe to celebrate the ability of today’s young individuals to inspire others—#ClubPenshoppePH. The group was recently introduced during a press conference at Makati Diamond Residences.
During the said event, people got to know more about the group, including their interests, taste in fashion and the life hurdles that they’ve overcome; hurdles that have allowed them to become a celebration of acceptance, diversity, and individuality.
“One of my favorite things about the members of #ClubPenshoppePH is that they’re comfortable with just being themselves, even if they’ve faced hardships and criticisms in the past,” shares Jeff Bascon, Brand Director of Penshoppe. “Ultimately, we want the Filipino youth to be just as comfortable with their own style, and not be boxed in stereotypes of what Filipinos ought to look like, dress like, or sound like.”
Founded in 1986, Penshoppe is a homegrown fashion brand that has become a much-loved destination for casual clothes in other parts of the world. Its clothes, with its dynamic designs, are known for reflecting the bold and adventurous lifestyle of Filipino youth through the years.
“#ClubPenshoppePH is a tiny peek at what the Filipino youth can do, if only we allow them the freedom and confidence to embrace their own uniqueness. Our goal is to inspire as many young people as we can, especially as Club Penshoppe expands in the other countries where we’re present,” Bascon says.
Club Penshoppe is a global initiative to find new faces that will inspire Penshoppe’s local markets to see their youth in a different light. It kicks off in the Philippines with #ClubPenshoppePH.
