The line started forming as early as 3 PM outside Beyond the Box. For nine hours, the queue steadily grew in anticipation of the official iPhone X midnight launch, held last week in City of Dreams Manila. It was a night of good music, cocktails, exciting games with special prizes–all to celebrate the arrival of the best iPhone to date.
When the clock struck 12, it took less than an hour before the crowd of eager Apple fans snapped up every iPhone X in the store’s inventory. Aside from being the first to officially get their hands on the new flagship iPhone, the first 50 buyers each received a free Beyond the Box Essentials Kit containing more than Php 17,500 worth of iPhone X accessories including Marshall Major II BT, Fuse Chicken Bobine Lightning Cable, Fuse Chicken Titan Loop Lightning Cable, UAG Plyo Case, Bodyguardz Pure 2 Screen Protector, Momax Q.Pad X Fast Wireless Charger, and BTW 12,000 mAh Cool Powerbank.
The iPhone X is Apple’s first major redesign in years. It features an edge-to-edge Super Retina display, a TrueDepth camera system which detects motion and can recognize faces, as well as an increase in processing power, among others. At Beyond the Box, it retails for Php 63,990 (64 GB model) and Php 73,990 (256 GB model), with 0% interest on the 24-month installment plan for BPI cardholders.
“We’re grateful for the support of the fans, some of whom lined up for as many as 15 hours just to get the iPhone X from Beyond the Box. It’s always a pleasure for us to provide Filipino tech fans with the latest Apple devices and the best accessories to further elevate their experience,” says Charles Paw, CEO of Beyond the Box.
Missed the launch? Fret not, as Beyond the Box has already readied the iPhone X inventory in all their stores just in time for the holidays. BPI cardholders can still avail of the special 0% interest 24-month installment plan until December 31, 2017.
