Aeternitas: A ‘Peaceful Kind’ of Property Investment 1

Metro Manila is becoming more and more congested and the availability of places for interment in public and private facilities are in steady decline. Most newly opened memorial spaces, meanwhile, are located farther away from Manila and are often expensive. For Filipinos who regularly visit their departed loved ones, this becomes a major hurdle.  Thus, cremation has become a practical alternative for families to ensure accessibility to the memorials of their dearly departed.

In response to this demand, Eternal Bright Sanctuary, Inc. (EBSI) announced that it has undertaken the construction of a new memorial facility at the heart of Metro Manila, the Aeternitas Memorial Chapels and Columbarium. The turnover of the facility is expected to begin on July 2019.

Conveniently located in Commonwealth Avenue in Quezon City beside St. Peter’s Shrine of Leaders and between the proposed Don Antonio and Batasan Stations of the MRT Line 7, the nine-storey development will have more than 45,000 niches for cinerary remains. Each of its 15 premiere memorial chapels and 2 grand memorial chapels will have access to telephone, cable and Internet.

According to Van Lopez, Marketing Director of EBSI, unlike the general real estate market, memorial spaces consistently increase value over time and are not easily devalued. Its prime location, Commonwealth Avenue, is also another plus factor. Lopez is confident the valuation of the investment will steadily increase with time.

Investors are also covered by a no cost credit life insurance while paying for the columbarium vaults to make sure that investors are covered in cases of unforeseen circumstances.

Empowering decision

“Memorial and post-life care and services are something that many people are uncomfortable talking about. The decision is often made too late or sometimes none at all. Instead of focusing on bereavement and the memorial of their loved ones, the family is faced to make a difficult choice. This can be very upsetting and stressful for many especially if you are in a very vulnerable point in your life,” Lopez said.

“Peace of mind, not just for you but for your family and loved ones is perhaps one of the best last gifts that one can offer. You are actively making the choice while you still can in choosing the level of care you want for yourself, while those close to you can concentrate on cherishing the best memories they have with you,” Lopez added.

“If you’re looking at cremation as an option, you might as well prepare for your columbary vault. Now is a good time. Get one for yourself or your family member and get another as an investment. Buyers can choose to invest in pre-selling projects which has lower introductory price, flexible payment terms and best locations. The market value of the acquired property appreciates over a period after its construction.

You should consider this as a good addition to your financial portfolio. I can say that this can be a wise investment and profitable addition to your bank savings account that only gets around one to two percent per year.”
